Summer Days can be rare

We've learned that in Wisconsin any weather is possible, so when really warm days come we soak in all we can! For Christmas the kids received a water slide from Grandma Denyse and Grandpa Mark. It was a hit...for our kids...and the neighborhood!! Who knows, it could be another month before we can pull it out again.

May Showers Bring...A Cousin!

Aunt Alicia's baby shower was yesterday. It was a very nice celebration in anticipation of their first child - a baby boy due in just a few weeks! Brooke wore a favorite dress and was thrilled that Aunt Alicia let her help open the gifts. Grandma Denyse ordered a super cute Winnie the Pooh cake to match the theme of the baby's room.

Life with Boys

Boys are different than girls. period. but on more levels than I could have ever imagined.

Today...

Lincoln SCREAMED when I tried to take the toilet plunger away from him.

Clayton learned that glue sticks and cotton balls cannot be left on the kitchen table because Lincoln is getting taller. Poor baby Lincoln was so distraught by the white fluffy goo that became of his hands.

Clayton came into Lincoln's room as I was putting him to bed with a bottle of Febreeze in his hands. "What's this mom?" Poison. "oh..." Why did you want to know that Clayton? "I sprayed it in my mouth." And a little sniff test proved that to be accurate. Thank goodness for online MSDS sheets that save another call to poison control to declare my mother of the year award.

Clayton today said, "Mom, I don't want the movie you got for me when I fill up my sticker chart." I asked what he wanted instead. "I want that movie mom, I just don't want to fill up my sticker chart first."
And, this wasn't today...but still a recent favorite. I was paged from church because Clayton claimed to not feel well. When I asked him what would make him feel better he said, "Going home to watch TV and play Legos."

One thing is for sure though - they are a LOT of fun.

With very little concern for color...if it has a motor it's a good thing!
